On the diss, Gibbs shows his lyrical ability and claims his Indiana hometown music heads do not listen to Millz’s records.

“Keep a fully automatic and a .45,” Gibbs raps, “I, never worry about a n*gga when I’m at the crib/Wanna hit me with the steel, you know where I live/Bring it to my front door if you real, these h*es don’t want it with the kid — can’t let one of y’all b*tch n*ggas check it/Give a f*ck about a motherf*cker talking reckless/When you send me a shot, I’ll get the message — and ain’t nobody in my hood listening to Jae Millz. Not at all.” (Vlad TV)

He previously decided to avoid addressing Millz’s comments.

“I don’t know jae millz never met him,” he wrote on Twitter last night, “never had a conversation,I didn’t address it cuz I didn’t feel like he was talkin to me.” (Freddie Gibbs’ Twitter)

Southern rapper Pill also addressed Jae’s remarks and called him a Lil Wayne groupie.

“It’s his opinion, you know what I mean,” Pill said in an interview. “I can’t really knock nobody’s opinion…I never heard of him, you know what I mean? Keep it real, I don’t know who he is…Do what you do, keep walking around holding Wayne’s d*ck. He’ll be out in a minute, I’m sure you can give him some head after he touches down, I’m sure you’re one of the groupies that’s f*cking him after the shows. Shout-out to Gay Millz.” (Hip Hop Beef)

Although he has since claimed to be cool with the XXL Freshmen, Jae’s initial remarks called out five of the ten named artists.

“I don’t feel no sort of way about me not being in the Top 10 but can’t no n*gga tell me that my n*gga Vado ain’t supposed to be on that cover or on the flip cover of that XXL Top 10 Freshmen issue,” Millz said in an interview. “Can’t nobody tell me that, and if you do want to argue with me, you can argue with me about anything because I only know five n*ggas out of the ten n*ggas on that cover. And my ears [are] to the streets…I’m not even gonna say the name of the n*ggas I know, that’s gonna single n*ggas out or whatever, but n*ggas know whose supposed to be on that cover and n*ggas know who ain’t supposed to be on that f*cking cover.” (“True Stories Radio”)
