New York rap veterans Foxy Brown and Cam'ron showed they are still capable of rocking crowds by lighting up Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj's New York City concert last night (August 14).
Killa Cam and Foxy helped ignite a show which also featured appearances by Young Money’s elite.
It was a packed audience full of kids holding up their cell phones when Nicki Minaj took the stage at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom Tuesday night for Pepsi Presents Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Tour: NYC . After canceling last minute at this year’s Hot 97 Summer Jam , Nicki made sure the free make-up show pulled out all the stops. There were four outfit changes (and just as many wigs ), about a million-billion hits and four enormous guests: Cam’ron , Foxy Brown , Drake and Lil Wayne! (FUSE TV)
Nicki used last night’s New York showcase to also publicly shower Foxy with accolades.
Dressed in a one-piece, Foxy delivered “Oh Yeah” and “Tables Will Turn” with Nicki adding one more time, “I wanna thank you for being one of my biggest influences in the game. There isn’t a female rapper in the world who has opened more doors for me than you.” (MTV)
Prior to nixing her performance, the “Barbie” planned to bring out Cam and Brown at New York radio station Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert last June.
Nicki Minaj did not get to touch down on the Summer Jam stage, but that didn’t stop her from having a good time. The Harajuku Barbie kicked it with fellow femcee Foxy Brown, as well as her collaborators Cam’ron and Beenie Man in NYC on Sunday. She had hinted of a historic performance involving these artists plus Lauryn Hill, Nas, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Tyga, Jae Millz, and Gudda Gudda. (Rap-Up)
Hours after her set, Minaj appeared on the “Today” show.
The superstar rapper, Nicki Minaj appeared on the “Today” show this morning, and she performed some of her newest hit songs. According to a report that was published today, the star was also interviewed on the show, and discussed the upcoming fragrance release that will take place next month. As Celebuzz reports, Nicki Minaj said of her fragrance: “I went back and forth with my fragrance team at least 1000 times per picture, per commercial layout – everything. The fragrance is going to be out in September at Macy’s. I’m so excited for it. In a couple of days we’re actually going to show the barbs the bottle and give them the name so I’m really super excited about it.” According to the report, the fragrance will be available at Macy’s department stores.
