Bow Wow told the troll that they “better name them,” along with a picture of himself with a gun doing a stick-up.  The former childhood rapper then proceeded to go back and forth between trolls and fans who defended his legacy.

During a Verzuz showdown with Soulja Boy Bow Wow proved he was one of the most impactful artists in hip-hop.

5 Things To Remember About Bow Wow’s Rap Legacy

1. “Let Me Hold You”

The song featured B2K‘s Omarion and is the biggest song in his career. It reached number 4 on the Billboard charts.

2. “Like You”

Made with then-girlfriend, Ciara, this song reached number 3 on the Top 100 Billboard charts.

3. “Take Ya Home”

The song was released as a single in 2002 off of the album, Doggy Bag.

4. He’s Mr 106 & Park

The nickname came about because the fans kept his videos in the number 1 spot for weeks on end on the BET show 106 & Park. The video for “Take Ya Home” song was the second video to be retired from the show. Bow Wow was so popular with the show’s fans that he would later serve as host of the show towards the end of its run from 2013 to 2014.

5. Appearance on Arsenio Hall Show

Back in 1993, an unknown Lil Bow Wow appeared on the Arsenio Hall show, freestyling to a song in front of the crowd as an 8-year-old.
