Since Kanye delivered his new album exclusively on streaming service TIDAL this month, reports claim the number of subscribers has soared.

Sources connected to Tidal tell TMZ … “The Life of Pablo” and its debut at MSG has already been streamed millions of times in less than two weeks, which is a record for the service. We’re also told subscribers to the app have more than doubled from around 1 million to 2.5 million. In fact, we’re told the album’s been so successful his team is discussing plans for another release, which may include a physical copy. (TMZ)

Reports this week revealed Kanye’s TIDAL exclusive, The Life Of Pablo, has unreported song streams.

One notable absence from the chart is Kanye West’s latest album, “The Life of Pablo,” which was released a week ago through an exclusive deal with the streaming service Tidal. Silvio Pietroluongo, Billboard’s vice president of charts and data development, said in a statement: “Billboard has been informed that Tidal is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye’s album to Nielsen Music. Therefore streams from Tidal for this title will not contribute to Billboard’s chart rankings at this time.” (New York Times)
