Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West‘s love for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is on full display this week. New footage has surfaced of Yeezy blessing MMA superstar Conor McGregor at last weekend’s UFC 202 event.
The now-viral clip shows Yeezus and McGregor sharing a behind-the-scenes UFC 202 post-fight moment together.
The fight was really good, and after it ended, Kanye decided that he wanted to congratulate the victor. So he made his way backstage and shared a brief moment with McGregor, who was still really bloody from the fight and hobbled by a shin injury. McGregor didn’t stop to talk with Kanye for long but he did embrace him for a few seconds—without getting any blood on his clothes!—before making his way to his post-fight press conference. “Pablooooooo!” McGregor said. “What’s up, man?” “Good job,” Kanye said in response, before McGregor thanked him for coming to the fight. Coincidentally, Yeezy linked up with actress Jennifer Lopez‘s now-former boyfriend Casper Smart at UFC 202.
Sources connected with the former couple tell us … J Lo told Casper it was super important for him to accompany her to Ron Perelman’s Hamptons fundraiser Saturday night benefiting the Apollo Theater. Casper wasn’t having it, because he desperately wanted to watch the Conor McGregor/Nate Diaz fight in Vegas with his friends. Casper had a great time in Vegas, hanging with Kanye and UFC announcer Bruce Buffer. J Lo, we’re told, was enraged and ended the relationship … no discussion — simply, we’re done. (TMZ)
