Renowned fighter Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s undefeated streak continues on in 2014 after winning a big bout Saturday (May 3) night in Las Vegas.
While it took a full 12 rounds, Money Mayweather won his 46th straight match-up.
Marcos Maidana did everything but beat Floyd Mayweather Jr., taking him 12 tough rounds before losing a majority decision. Mayweather remained unbeaten Saturday night, but not by much. Maidana swarmed all over him from the opening bell and gave him perhaps his toughest fight in a 16-year professional career. In the end, though, Mayweather got the win — just as he did in his previous 45 fights. He retained his welterweight titles, winning the fight on two scorecards while a third judge had it even. Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross celebrated the win with a TwitPic.

Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy also made sure to acknowledge the big fight.
“Fights over!! Get to the @hardrockhotelLV now!!! #Cirocboyz afterparty!!!,” Diddy tweeted May 4. (Diddy’s Twitter)
Prior to the fight, rap stars 2 Chainz and Rick Ross accompanied Mayweather to the weigh-in.
Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. was escorted by heavyweight rappers Rick Ross and 2 Chainz during his weigh-in on Friday (May 2) for the boxer’s Saturday night title fight with Marcos Maidana at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Dressed in all red, a confident 37-year-old Mayweather strutted down the aisle of the MGM Grand Garden Arena with DJ Drama‘s “My Moment” blaring in the background, with Ross and 2 Chainz (who’s featured on the track) following closely behind.
