According to Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza, fans should really expect this bout to go down.
“Having spoken to Floyd, I know he’s deadly serious about it. He’s very, very serious about wanting the fight.” The first one was a PPV record setter, and although there are a ton of people that wonder if this one would be as big (basically, some people don’t care) … Espinoza says next year, it’s LIT. “2019 sounds perfect. After I get a little bit of sleep after this event, we’ll go at Mayweather/Pacquiao 2, I think.” (TMZ)
Last month, reports emerged about Mayweather possibly considering two comeback fights including a rematch with Manny.
It looks like Floyd is adjusting course a bit … ’cause sources close to TBE tell us he’s actually eyeing 2 comeback fights … starting with a massive boxing event in Tokyo. Couple of interesting points here … we’re told Floyd hasn’t yet picked an opponent — and he ain’t just lookin’ at boxers — he’s also checking out kickboxers and MMA fighters. We’re told Conor McGregor’s name has not been mentioned. (TMZ)
Recently, Floyd went to Twitter to confirm his intent on coming out of boxing retirement.

A few weeks ago, estranged Mayweather pal 50 Cent suggested he’s coming out of retirement purely for money.
