Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is not backing down from recent jabs thrown his way courtesy of ex-pal 50 Cent and has responded to a $750,000 reading challenge.

When asked about Fif’s challenge by a fan, Mayweather playfully entertained the idea.

“That’s all he challenged me?” Mayweather told the fan when asked about the $750,000 challenge. “He gotta raise the stakes. Let him know. Do he still make music? I ain’t heard him in a while.” (Showtime All-Access)

Check out Floyd Mayweather, Jr.’s comments:

50 jumped onto his Instagram page last Wednesday (August 27) and jabbed Mayweather with an Instagram post poking fun at his reading/writing skills.

“Deer Tiny, I just dropen yu a line, to let yu no I lub yu berry much. Fuk T. eye, he don Lub yu like I du! Senseerly Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather,” a photo read on 50’s page. The rap star captioned the image with: “@floydmayweather I love you like a brother. Call fanny, and tawana your sister’s love your crazy ass.check on Devon you are forgetting the people who matter boy. If you want to fight I’ll be in Vegas next week.#SMSaudio” (50 Cent’s Instagram)

Fif took to his social media page to expose Mayweather’s reading ability in August.

“This is a special challenge for you, Floyd!” 50 Cent says in the clip. “If you can read one full page of a Harry Potter book, I’ll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want to.” Standing on a picturesque patio over a green backyard with a sparkling pool, the “Animal Ambition” performer then grabs his bucket of ice water and enthusiastically tosses it to the side. Coincidentally, Floyd addressed his publicized feuds with various hip-hop artists including Fif last Thursday (August 21).

Rappers Nelly, 50 Cent and T.I. all have chided Mayweather since the pound-for-pound king’s last fight — in interviews, via social media, and in person — primarily over who’s dating whom, and if so why. “I don’t really focus on nothing like that,” Mayweather said. “I’m relevant. I’m relevant. My life is the (expletive). I’m something to talk about.” (MLive)

  1. Floyd stop entertaining the non sense. Get money and help out the communities that is suffering. Be a stand up guy in society. go listen to Knocking Doors Down by Pimp C. right now you two on crumb shit

      • The fact you have money doesnt make it ok you can be moronic.
How he gone properly raise his kids ? SOMEONE ELSE TOO ?

        • Curtis fans always brag about how much more money he has than his rivals. What’s the problem?

        • You ever Flloyd talk? He doesn’t sound stupid at all! For the record, he can read, just not extremely well!

          • bruh aint no way around it. if you cant read youre not well educated.

reading is the standard. and the standard aint high

          • Well educated versus partly educated versus no education at all. There are shades of gray homey, it’s not just one or the other. It’s dudes who can do all kinds of mathematics but they can’t read…doesn’t mean they have no education…just not enough education!

  2. well done Floyd. you’ve not been as disrespectful as him but this from you have a bigger impact. you just brushed that donkey aside

  3. Mayweather went hard on this one! Po’ 50 a rich nigga but music career is gone! Done! He shot his own career music 9 times! You get it! Ha! Ha!

  4. that
old saying A stupid Illiterate boxer and His Money Are Soon Parted applies to Floyd.

    • Slightly illiterate but not stupid at all. Just because he can’t read well doesn’t mean that he can’t count or foster great ideas. Floyd is articulate in the interviews I’ve seen. Yall act as if he speaks like Leon Spinx or some shit. Y’all didn’t even know he had a reading problem until recently. If he came across as stupid in the first place, you wouldn’t be so shocked by the “new news”! He comes off as normal!! Open your eyes to the broad spectrum! Just because a guy has problems reading doesn’t make him stupid in every other aspect of life. With all that said, I would advise a millionaire to take some classes because there’s no excuse for him to struggle in that arena when he has the time and money to increase his skillset.

  5. He’s right. Curtis is irrelevant when it comes to music. His wack ass album barely sold 100K…lmao.
