Boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t joking around. The sports star has confirmed he’s really coming out of retirement to take on longtime in-ring rival Manny Pacquiao.

On Monday, Floyd went to Twitter with footage of his weekend encounter with Manny and promise to make a mighty boxing return.

A few days ago, estranged Mayweather pal 50 Cent suggested he’s coming out of retirement purely for money.

Last week, Floyd shocked fans by announcing plans to fight boxing rival Manny Pacquiao before 2019.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. says he’s coming out of retirement again to fight Manny Pacquiao for a second time in December. Mayweather posted a video on Instagram early Saturday that showed him and Pacquiao together, reportedly in Japan, jawing at each other over a possible second fight. (TIME)

Back in 2015, Floyd went all 12 rounds in a big victory against Pac-Man.

Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in a 12-round unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in May of 2015, and talks of a rematch have swirled ever since. After the fight, it was revealed that Pacquiao fought through a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. (USA Today)
