Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently talked about rap stars Jay Z and Nicki Minaj hosting big parties following his bout against Manny Pacquiao next month.

Although quick to the point, Floyd said he would opt out of partying with celebrities in Las Vegas and head home.

He can DEFINITELY afford tickets, but Floyd Mayweather says he WON’T be hitting up Jay Z’s post-fight mega-party in Vegas — there’s another place he’s already committed to be. TMZ Sports spoke with Money at his media day workout at his gym near the Las Vegas strip Tuesday night … when we pointed out all of the post-fight party options … Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Snoop, Jay, etc. “I’m gonna be at home with my family,” Floyd told a cameraman when asked where he would party following his May 2 fight. “Every fight is important to me.” (TMZ Sports)

According to reports, Jay Z will host a pricey Sin City event on May 2 with V.I.P. tables going for $50,000 each.

It’s all going down at Marquee nightclub at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas — just down the way from where Manny and Floyd will be facing off on May 2nd. We spoke with party honchos who tell us they expect this to be the biggest after-party on the strip — despite fierce competition from stars like Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and 2 Chainz. (TMZ)

Rap star 50 Cent may reportedly bet over $1.5 million for Floyd to win against Manny.

50 Cent went on “The Breakfast Club” on New York’s Power 105.1 FM Tuesday morning to report the two are on speaking terms again after meeting by chance at a Chris Brown show earlier this month. Not only that, but 50 Cent boasted he plans to bet $1.6 million on Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao when the two are scheduled to fight on May 2 in Las Vegas. “Champ gonna smoke him,” 50 Cent said, referring to Mayweather, who holds both the WBC and WBA welterweight titles. 50 Cent then went on to describe Mayweather as “super focused,” and said, “It’s gonna look like [the fight] was pumped up for no reason.” (CBS Local)

Mayweather announced the big fight after weeks of speculation earlier this year.

“I am glad my decision to meet with Manny and discuss making this fight happen helped get the deal done. Giving the fans what they want to see is always my main focus. This will be the biggest event in the history of the sport. Boxing fans and sports fans around the world will witness greatness on May 2. I am the best ever, TBE, and this fight will be another opportunity to showcase my skills and do what I do best, which is win. Manny is going to try to do what 47 before him failed to do, but he won’t be successful. He will be number 48.” (“Shots”)
