Boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. is out here letting Conor McGregor know he’s still looking up to him on the Forbes list. The sports star has hit up social media to throw a little unexpected shade at the UFC fighter.
Money Mayweather went to Instagram Tuesday (June 5) to flex his wealth over Conor and a few other notable sports heavyweights.
Back in March, Floyd talked about the idea of making a career move to MMA fighting.
“I can wrestle,” Floyd says … “My wrestling game is not that bad. On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s probably a 7 and I think we could take it up to like a 9.” So, how much MONEY will it take to lock Floyd for an MMA fight, possibly with Conor McGregor? “It’s all about presenting the right numbers and of course, they gonna present the right numbers and we gonna make it happen.” (TMZ Sports)
Recently, McGregor went to his Instagram page and appeared to suggest Floyd would never fight in the UFC.
This past winter, Mayweather tossed up a fake pic of himself banging up McGregor MMA-style.
The 40-year-old retired boxing legend has been teasing fight fans in recent weeks with non too subtle suggestions that he is considering a foray into the Octagon, but his recent social media post may have graphically illustrated his intentions. The post leaves little to the imagination as it shows an image headlined “Certified Killa vs Certified B***h”, which depicts Mayweather inflicting horrific damage on his arch rival Conor McGregor in a fight that is clearly being conducted under MMA rules.
