Retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is clearing the air. The sports icon is confirmed speculation about taking over the promotion of an upcoming bout between musicians Soulja Boy and Chris Brown.

A new clip has surfaced of Floyd claiming boxer Adrien Broner is no longer promoting the star-studded boxing match.

“I’m not going to do AB like that,” Floyd said. “AB has a fight coming up soon and what I want Adrien Broner to do right now is focus on the task that’s in front of him that’s coming up. While he’s focused on his task, I’ll handle this.” (Hollywood Unlocked)

A few hours ago, Chris Brown trolled Soulja Boy and their upcoming match on Instagram.

Yesterday, Brown warned SB about bringing his daughter Royalty into their dispute.

“All them jokes aside, my n*gga. Seriously. We’re gonna set up this fight, it’s going to be professional. We can do all that but one thing you gotta stop doing my n*gga, keeping it real with you, stop bringing my daughter into this my n*gga. Stop saying s**t about my f*cking daughter, bro. This not no f*cking game my n*gga. Now you’re playing with something else that’s going to take this somewhere else.”
