[With his new “Going Up” EP generating a buzz, rapper Flawless Real Talk chops it up with SOHH about his gritty, Hollywood-looking “Intruders” music video and teases more visuals to come.]

“Intruders” was really something that happened at the end of the process of making the Going Up EP. It was actually one of the last records that I did and I thought it would be fun.

A lot of my music is a little more serious and it’s very content-driven and so I wanted to create a suspenseful, movie-type song and engage the listener and then end it really light. I wanted to end it in a way that would never be expected.

I really wanted to make that surprise ending. We shot the video with Red Eye Movies and they did an amazing job in making sure the intensity matched up with the song and the video. The visual really helped bring the story to life and it was really cool to see the reactions.

Everything we do is about trying to make the music as relatable as possible to the listener and make everybody connect.

Summertime is the break-up season and “Maybe” is just the great and fun type of record to say, “Hey, maybe next time it will work out but right now I’m going to do my thing.”

It’s really fun. It’s got the dance club vibe and it was really a great record to create.

I’m glad to get it out to everybody and it’s something fun to have on the Going Up EP because we want to make sure we have the ladies covered as well and enjoying the music as well.

Red Eye Movies shoots all of my videos. They’re actually our in-house directors with the Rise movement and we’re doing the “Worked Too Hard” video with the Jay Z portion in it.

We’re doing the video for that within the next coming week and we’re really excited to push the music, push the visuals and get the people quality content and hope people spread the word about us.
