Public Enemy‘s Flavor Flav is looking for a quick pay day. New reports claim the hip-hop veteran has reportedly kept busy as of late trying to sell an O.J. Simpson statue.
According to reports, Flav is up for returning the iconic figure to Simpson upon his release in October but is currently concerned on trying to make a buck off it.
Flav says he previously tried to return it but O.J. refused the gift — saying at the time, “They (meaning the Goldmans) would just take it away again.” There could be a TON of money at stake this time around — Flav has been shopping the statue with a 6-figure price tag. We’re told he’s received offers close to asking, but so far, no deal has been made. (TMZ)
This week, New York radio personality Funk Flex playfully imagined O.J. and rap star JAY-Z in the same elevator.
Earlier this week, a slew of hip-hop artists gave their initial reactions to Simpson getting paroled in a robbery conviction.
On Thursday, buzz developed over Simpson landing a get out of jail early pass after serving nearly 10 years on a robbery conviction.
The imprisoned former NFL player could be released as early as Oct. 1. Simpson, 70, delivered a rambling account of the case to the parole board earlier today, maintaining that he didn’t intend to steal but “wish this would have never happened.” (ABC News)
