Fat Joe Admits He Told Remy Ma To Drop Nicki Minaj Feud: "I Beefed W/ 50 Cent For 7 Years

New York rapper Fat Joe wanted Remy Ma to wave a white flag in her Nicki Minaj beef. The hip-hop veteran recently talked about his protégé fueling the current, headline-generating rap battle.

In a new interview, Joey Crack revealed he spoke to Remy about not feuding with Nicki.

“Why we getting into this? We got number one songs. Why we getting into the beef? That’s not cool. I beefed with 50 Cent for seven years. I was like, it’s not a go. But one day I woke up – I woke up in Vegas, I had a show in Vegas and that night I drank too – I woke up and the whole world was calling me. I’m looking at my phone and this ‘Shether’ thing – never heard it. And then I heard it like you. And I was like, ‘Oh my God! Can’t nobody come back from this one – I just didn’t want the rap beef regardless. I knew what she did, she did her thing, but I know nobody could come back from that.” (Power 106 FM)

Earlier this month, Remy referenced her hard-hitting anti-Nicki “Shether” song on MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out” show.

In a teaser clip of an upcoming episode of Wild ‘N Out, Remy is featured as a guest, and it looks like she might have rekindled the fire. The teams are playing a game of “Rest in Peace,” which sets the cast members up to deliver funny eulogies about random celebrities. Nicki Minaj’s name obviously comes up, because who doesn’t love an opportunity to be messy? While Remy’s team member, Emmanuel Hudson, initially takes the podium, the audience immediately begins chanting for the rapper. She hops up with the quickness, and sashays to the mic to deliver one word: “ShETHER.” (Complex)

Recently, rap star 2 Chainz admitted his big Nicki Minaj “Realize” collaboration strained his relationship with Remy Ma.

“I rock with Remy and Papoose. We was talking about doing something before this happened. Pap dapped me down and she was like, ‘I don’t rock with Tity no more.’ She ain’t say it like that, it was like, ‘I don’t f*ck with him.’ She was in my face but I said, ‘I love you though and there’s no reason [we shouldn’t collaborate.]’ She just felt like, Papoose was like, ‘Why’d you let that,’ anyway, anyhow, like I told them, that I have no control over someone else’s artistic expression.
