New York rap star Fat Joe recently talked about his relationship to ex-Terror Squad member Remy Ma and explained how they managed to put their publicized feud behind them.
Joey Crack admitted the now-freed rap veteran reached out to him to call a truce.
“She called me up and we made peace,” Joe revealed in an interview. “It was cool with me. I never had a problem. I never hated Remy. I mean, my feelings was hurt with whatever transpired between us. I never hated her. I wished her the best. I’m still rooting for her right now.” (XXL Mag)
The Bronx native also said Remy should have no problem going back into the limelight.
“Remy Martin has no real challenge. Remy Martin is loved. Remy Martin is, pound for pound, top one or two most lyrical female rappers in the world. [There’s] a lot of females out there. Not just rapping, but I’m just saying in general. A lot of female fans. She just gotta make hits. At the end of the day, [that’s] what my concern is. And she’s been taught by the hitmakers of the world. She’s gonna be alright. I have no concerns. 34 means nothing. You look, most rappers who are hot today are 34. She looks the same. She’s good.” (XXL Mag)
Despite a past publicized feud, Remy recently said she had no ill will toward Joey Crack.
“That was one of my epiphanies that I had. I was like, ‘OK, now I see why he wanted to kill me.’ I understand that. … I can never hate him. I’m the type of person that if I ever loved you, even if you make me mad, I’ma love you to death. I’d never be able to stand there and watch somebody do harm to him.” (Power 105.1)
A few weeks ago, Remy revealed Joe provided strong guidance during her stint on TS.
“I think our issues came from our egos conflicting. [Fat] Joe used to give me advice on what to do and what not to do, but I didn’t listen. He guided me, but I didn’t listen to him. If I would have listened to him then, things would have been different now. If I would have listened to Joe half of the time…You don’t realize it at the time because when you’re young you think you know everything.” (Billboard)
