Trey Songz + Fabolous Houston Show Halted

The two rap stars’ show was stopped by the local fire chief. Club Spire was reportedly packed full, with 200 people still waiting outside to get in on the action, before closing down for the night.

Club Spire in the 1700 block of Main Street was filled beyond capacity, according to the Houston Fire Marshal’s office. Fire Chief Samuel Pena said the club was given the option to re-open within capacity guidelines, but management decided to close for the night. “If there was an emergency, a fire or something that would have occurred inside, we would have had a massive loss of life because the means of entry,” Pena said. “The exits were blocked.” The venue was hosting an event called “The Black Affair” that featured artists Trey Songz and Fabolous, which was a draw for people who traveled from out of town, only to be turned away. Bow Wow’s Houston Concert Sparks Memes

The Internet is coming directly for Bow Wow. Social media has lit up the hip-hop veteran following a live performance he threw down at in Texas. Over the past few hours, the Internet has completely went off on Bow Weezy’s Houston show. The jokes centered on Americans risking their lives to see the rap artist perform some of his throwback anthems.

People risking their lives to hear a live performance of “Shorty Like Mine”? We never getting outta this pandemic. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Bow Wow Fans Targeted Too

The digital smoke didn’t end with Bow Wow. Social media also playfully went at concertgoers hanging out with BW at his Friday night show.

Bow Wow and his fans are getting absolutely roasted on Twitter after footage leaked of the rapper performing for a large, mostly unmasked crowd at Houston’s Cle’ Club Friday night. The event was part of a larger celebration for club promoter Larry Morrow’s birthday, which also featured a performance from Meek Mill and promises sets from Fabolous and Trey Songz, among others, throughout the weekend. Though the event itself should be criticized for not following COVID-19 protocol while the virus continues to wreak havoc — especially in Houston, which saw 24,000 new cases on Friday alone — the Internet is taking aim at Bow Wow followers for risking their lives to see him perform. Bow Wow Claps Back At Timbaland

Bow Wow recently put respect on his name. Over the summer, he went to social media to clarify he most certainly has enough hits for a Verzuz battle after legendary producer Timbaland said otherwise.

“Yo! @Timbaland said i might not have 20 songs to do a verzuz… i LAUGHED … What about: Oh i think they like me. Where the party at remix. Destiny child remix. Ima flirt. Theres more…. 3-6 mafia side to side we past 20 right?” -Bow Wow’s Twitter
