When approached about his reason to choose December 25th, F-a-b-o simply said holiday breaks from kids to adults would increase the chance of his music getting downloaded and heard.

There Is No Competition 3: Death Comes In 3’s, it’s just new music, man,” Fab said in an interview. “[Time to] feed the streets. It’s some energy for the holidays. I wanted to give them some new Fab music and it’s also a branding thing for me to get people ready for the [Loso’s Way 2] album coming next year. I picked this time, Christmas time, because people are home, people got time to download, people got a week off from work. They can really get in and appreciate the music without it being too commercially shoved down their throat.” (VIBE)

Despite features from rappers like Red Cafe to singers including Ne-Yo and Trey Songz, Fab has no intention of dropping a There Is No Competition 4.

Hosted by DJ Drama, TiNC3 is set to feature Lloyd Banks, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Red Café, Paul Cain and more and will also be the final chapter in the mixtape trilogy, stating, “I don’t know if I’m gonna go further because I feel like three is enough for a series.” “I think that’s what happens with movies sometimes with the ‘Jason Part…’ 9s, 10s you [end up] losing a little bit of flavor because you’re just recreating the same thing ten times,” he shares. “So, I think this one might be the final installment of the There Is No Competition series.” (XXL Mag)

A few days ago, Fab said the mixtape could cement him as one of the biggest New York rappers on the scene.

“[This mixtape] was a branding opportunity, to get people ready for the album to come,” Fab said referring to his upcoming Loso’s Way 2 LP. “A lot of people are gonna get fueled up off of this mixtape and that’s actually what we want to do. We want to get people ready for what’s to come. I want to give the message of evolution. I want to give the message of me stepping into the shoes as the frontrunner and representative of New York and New York music. I feel like the shoes are there for me to put on. They’re just sitting at the door and I’m coming down the stairs with my robe and my paper and sometimes I just look at the shoes and sometimes I just go in the kitchen and eat breakfast. But now I’m ready. I’m dressed and all of that. [It’s time to] put the shoes on.” (Real Talk NY)

In November, Loso announced plans to put together his final There Is No Competition mixtape project.

There Is No Competition 3 – Death Comes In 3’s…. Coming Soon #TiNc3[,” he tweeted November 9th. (Fabolous’ Twitter)
