According to Kading, former Death Row Records owner Suge Knight was behind B.I.G.’s 1997 fatal shooting.

The documentary, which is a “remastered” version of the original 2001 profile, follows the childhood, the early hustle on the streets, the rise to fame and the events which surrounded the untimely death of Christopher Wallace, but also adds input from retired LAPD detective Greg Kading, who claims to know exactly who killed the rapper on that fateful evening on March 9th, 1997, and who arranged the murder. Kading, who was assigned to the second investigation of Biggie’s murder in 2006, claims to have received a confession from Theresa Swann (alias), the girlfriend and mother of one of Suge Knight’s children, which reveals Suge arranged the killing through an L.A. gang member named “Poochie”. Kading was removed from the case in 2009 due to an unrelated ethics violation – until subsequently being cleared of all charges – and claims that the LAPD did not follow the leads he made – much like former LAPD detective Greg Poole professed a decade ago. Kading talked about B.I.G.’s killer on the late rapper’s 15 year anniversary last March.

“Wardell ‘Poochie’ Fouse was paid to kill Biggie. At the time, he was a 36-year old member of the Mob Piru Bloods. According to several Death Row insiders and FBI informants, Poochie was a down-for-the-cause, hardcore gang member. Confidential sources from the Death Row entourage, the Mob Pirus, and [Suge’s girlfriend, identified in Kading’s book by the alias “Theresa Swann”], said Poochie had done shootings for Suge in the past. Reggie Wright Jr.–who was the head of Death Row security–said Suge and Poochie’s relationship was different than other members of the gang. They had a very secretive and exclusive relationship.” (Complex)

Last October, Notorious B.I.G.’s protege Lil Cease dismissed Kading’s Tupac Shakur and Biggie conspiracy theories.

“I’m just way past those types of situations,” said a slightly bemused Cease. “Every year, every couple of months, something new comes out. It all depends on whoever putting it out what’s their intentions. I never even heard of this person who put this book out or heard of him as a cop during any time in that investigation.” After saying he didn’t believe Sean “Diddy” Combs ordered the shooting as Greg Kading alleges, Cease added, “I’ve been dealing with that for so many years. Every year, it’s just something different. Who knows what to believe?” (RapFix)

Over the fall, he singled out Bad Boy’s Diddy and Knight for being murder masterminds.

Greg Kading also claims in “Murder Rap” that Combs’ west coast rival, Marion “Suge” Knight, ordered New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G. killed in retaliation. No one has been charged in either rapper’s murder. Kading claims the LAPD has recorded confessions from people behind the killings. In one of the audio recordings, a Southside Crips member named Duane “Keffe D” Davis says, “[Combs] took me downstairs and he’s like, ‘Man, I want to get rid of them dudes.'” (My Fox)
