Hollywood superstar Michael B. Jordan is loving those Black Panther opening weekend numbers. Everyone’s favorite on-screen bad guy has reacted to the box office sales his Marvel Studios flick has generated after just 72 hours.

In a new Instagram Story clip, Jordan speaks on the massive Black Panther ticket sales and positive results of people hitting their local theaters.

“218 [million dollars]. Woo. See what happens when we support each other? Ain’t nothing we can’t do. You show up, you show out. You see what happens? It’s crazy. It’s just the beginning though. Let the movement continue.”

A few hours ago, R&B superstars Chris Brown and Alicia Keys heavily co-signed the hit movie.

After just a few days, Black Panther has already banked nearly $200 million in ticket sales.

The epic box-office debut of “Black Panther,” the first Marvel superhero movie with an African-American in the title role, will force Hollywood to reassess the work it gives black actors and filmmakers and lead to better roles for minorities and women. The movie from Walt Disney Co.’s superhero factory opened with estimated weekend sales of $192 million, ComScore Inc. said Sunday in an email, setting a record for a February opening and likely becoming the biggest movie ever starring a largely black cast. Analysts were forecasting about as much as $185 million for Friday through Sunday. (Fortune)

Some publications estimate Black Panther will make $218 million by tonight and easily bank the money it cost to create the film.

That number means that “Black Panther,” starring Chadwick Boseman and directed by Ryan Coogler, has doubled its original tracking in less than a month. The film, which carries an estimated $200 million production cost, had been tracking to bring in between an impressive $100 and $120 million when first estimates emerged on Jan. 25. Since then, “Black Panther” has become a must-see movie for many moviegoers, underlined when Thursday previews brought in $25.2 million, the largest Thursday night preview gross for a February opener and the second-largest preview gross for a Marvel film.
