A year after her nasty split from NFL free agent Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, VH1 reality television star Evelyn Lozada has decided to leave him in the dust and accept a proposal from Los Angeles Dodgers star Carl Crawford.

Lozada decided to let fans into her personal life by unveling her eye-catching engagement ring on Christmas Day.

‘Tis the season for engagements. Reality television star Evelyn Lozada announced her engagement to Dodgers’ outfielder Carl Crawford with a photo of her stunning ring on Instagram. Lozada’s ring was designed by Jason Arasheben, who also designed Gabrielle Union‘s ring. (USA Today)

Reports claim CC popped the big question early Wednesday (December 25).

Evelyn Lozada got a helluva Christmas gift this morning from Dodgers star Carl Crawford … a 14.5 carat DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING … and sources tell TMZ the ring’s worth $1.4 MILLION!!! Crawford — who’s in the middle of a $142 million contract — popped the question this morning … and the “Basketball Wives” star said YES! (TMZ)

Along with the engagement, Evelyn and Carl are expecting their first child together next year.

The reality star, who’s expecting a baby with the Los Angeles Dodgers player, posted a picture of her huge diamond engagement ring on Instagram on Wednesday along with one word: “YES!” “I’m overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!” Lozada, 37, tells PEOPLE. “What a different year and a half it has been – I’m truly happy!” (People)

No stranger to high-profile relationships, Evelyn was previously engaged to retired NBA player Antoine Walker.

Lozada, who is seven months pregnant with Crawford’s child, is coming off a short-lived marriage to former football star Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson. The pair had been filming a planned VH1 reality series, “Ev & Chad,” just over a month into their marriage when Johnson headbutted his new bride during a fight — reportedly over a receipt for condoms she found in the truck of his car. She filed for divorce shortly after the August 2012 incident. Lozada had become entangled with Johnson on the rebound after a 10-year relationship with NBA forward Antoine Walker. She also has a daughter, 20-year-old Shaneice Lozada, from a previous relationship. (New York Daily News)
