According to reports, E-v-e will star in an upcoming television series based on interracial romance.

ABC has closed a deal for a multi-camera comedy project to star actress-rapper Eve, from Aaron Kaplan‘s Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios. The project, which is eyed for the 2014-15 development season, is looking for a writer. I hear Kaplan approached Eve (full name Eve Jeffers) with the idea for a multi-camera interracial romantic comedy. The two pitched it to ABC, which bought the project with penalty. Eve and Kaplan (ABC’s The Neighbors) executive produce. ICM Partners-repped Eve previously toplined her eponymous sitcom on UPN and starred in the Barbershop movie franchise. (Deadline)

Recently, Eve addressed her engagement’s headline-generating news and explained why she kept it under wraps for nearly an entire week.

“Thanku 2 everybody 4 your congratulations on our engagement! ???????? We wanted to celebrate with our family and friends 1st b4 announcing,” Eve tweeted December 31. (Eve’s Twitter)

While details were initially scarce, reports suggested the British designer popped the question to Eve on Christmas.

Eve’s love is going the distance. The singer-actress is engaged to British designer and Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper, E! News exclusively confirms. Eve’s rep tells us that Cooper popped the question on Christmas Day, the sparkly evidence of which was first spied on Instagram in a photo in which she’s surrounded by family–and flashing a diamond ring!
