Soulful singer Erykah Badu has come forward to apologize to Hustle Gang’s Iggy Azalea for taking a shot at her during last month’s Soul Train Awards ceremony.
Badu issued out her heartfelt apology on Twitter Monday (December 7) afternoon.
“You know what? I want to do this, for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azalea because she’s one of their favorite artists. And they listen to her all the time. It’s for them. But when I really think about it, if y’all love her so much, why don’t y’all go be with her then? Go on be with her, y’all – Is Iggy Azalea going to miss the healing seminar to go up to the school, sit across from the teacher, so she can tell you that all y’all been doing is talking to your neighbor, not getting your lesson? A few days ago, Badu quoted Iggy’s alleged response to her Soul Train Awards jab on social media.
Iggy briefly shined light on Badu’s diss and explained her absence from the music scene on Twitter last Tuesday (December 1).
Badu, who hosted the Soul Train Awards ceremony, name-dropped Iggy and questioned her presence in hip-hop during the broadcast.

You would think Badu would have something more important to do instead stressing about her children liking Iggy’s music. I’ve always found Badu to be strange. She’s a good music artist but she’s still weird to me.
