Soulful singer Erykah Badu has responded to a speculated reaction from rapper Iggy Azalea following a “Soul Train Awards” televised jab last weekend.

Badu quoted Iggy’s Twitter comment and did not hesitate to throw some playful shade her way Friday (December 4).

Iggy briefly shined light on Badu’s diss and explained her absence from the music scene on Twitter Tuesday (December 1).

Badu, who hosted the “Soul Train Awards” ceremony, name-dropped Iggy and questioned her presence in hip-hop during the broadcast.

Rap veteran Da Brat recently gave Nicki Minaj the edge over Iggy when asked about their hip-hop careers.
