According to reports, Slim Shady’s lyrics have cost him an opportunity to perform at UK’s Hyde Park.

“This artist flagged risks across the board. In particular in respect of our public reputation,” said Royal Parks CEO Linda Lennon. “The nature of any act with potential for lyrics to be deemed offensive and/or unsuitable language being audible within the park as a whole, let alone the surrounding residential areas, is unacceptable.” (Ace Showbiz)

Buzz behind Em having a ban against him bubbled online a few weeks ago.

Eminem’s Hyde Park gig was supposed to be a part of AEG’s Barclaycard British Summer Time festival that’s scheduled to open on July 3. Last month, rumors swirled claiming that the Detroit MC wasn’t allowed to perform at the event because his lyrics “have been accused of being homophobic, provocative and pretty sweary.” The festival is now set to continue with Arcade Fire, Black Sabbath and Neil Young among musicians who will take the stage. According to reports, rapper Danny Brown will invade Slim Shady’s July 11-12 Wembly Stadium shows in London.

Eminem shows plenty of Detroit love in the states and will showcase more overseas when he does two July concert at London’s Wembley Stadium. The July 11 show, falling on a Friday, is already sold out according to the 90,000-plus seat venue. (M Live)

Hype behind rap group Odd Future getting involved in the overseas concert hit the Internet last month.

Odd Future are set to support Eminem at his upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium. The collective will open up for the rapper on July 11-12, at the first ever hip-hop shows to take place at the massive London venue. Eminem broke the news on his Instagram account, posting a video of Tyler, The Creator saying his group would be appearing at the gigs this summer. (NME)
