Em’s appearance at the Innovator of the Year Awards in New York this week ignited the Internet chatter.

Standing on stage alongside Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, the 42-year-old was a shadow of his former self, looking gaunt and haggard in his black beanie hat. Various reports and a number of fans have linked his changing face to the “ridiculous amount” of prescription pills his has taken in the past. “Drugs damaged Eminem’s face,” one user wrote on Twitter. While another added: “Eminem unwittingly becomes the face of the ‘Say No to Drugs Campaign’.” (OK!)

At the event, Slim Shady boasted about his admiration for the two music moguls.

“Dre and Jimmy are like a force of nature,” said Em as he read off notecards. “As an example of how powerful they are, they had me fly h ere all the way from Detroit to speak publicly, and I really hate public speaking.” (Rap-Up)
