Grammy-winning rapper Eminem really doesn’t like President Donald Trump. The hip-hop veteran has updated fans on his stance toward the head of state.
In a new Vulture interview, Em talks about his now-infamous Trump-directed 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher freestyle and how much he wants to see Donald lose his job.
“It’s not so much about him hearing something I have to say, because there’s nothing I’m saying about him on Revival that he doesn’t already know about himself. It’s more that I want him to answer me because I got ideas for all kinds of shit to say back to him if he does. … [Trump in 2018?] I hope he gets impeached. I’d be there for that.” (Vulture)
Recently, rap veteran Coolio warned Eminem about going after Trump with his raps.
“People don’t want to talk about nothing these days. People just want to have fun, party and bullsh*t, so, that’s what it is. Nobody wants to hear anything that’s going to stimulate a thought and that’s how it is. We’ve been conditioned like that for a long time. Especially the youngsters, they don’t want to hear anything that’s controversial or really because they don’t have time for that. This generation, I think they’re ready for something. It’s just got to take a couple people to come out and do it. They follow each other. When one cat comes out and does something, they do what he does if he get a hit, it’s just that somebody gotta get a hit record that’s controversial and then everybody else will start doing it. … Trump is a little bit, he’s a weirdo. He might do anything. Ain’t no telling. He might have Eminem killed. You never know. Don’t be surprised if Eminem come up dead.” (TMZ)
On Em’s new Revival album, he takes direct aim at Trump on tracks such as “Like Home.”
Back in November, Def Jam’s 2 Chainz trolled President Trump about not going at Em following his hard-hitting 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher performance.
