Grammy-winning rapper Eminem has come out to calm Lady Gaga fans who may have taken his "A Kiss" track too serious after accusing the platinum-selling singer of possibly having a penis.
Speaking on his fellow Interscope Records artist, Em denied having any real beef with Gaga.
“I think Lady Gaga, as an artist you know, she’s undeniable, you know. That was one of them things where sometimes I get a joke in my head and I kinda want to share it with the world, you know what I’m saying. So it was just one of them things man, and it’s you know it’s all in fun, its hip-hop.” (FUSE TV)
Last week, Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9 also downplayed the joke’s seriousness.
“(Eminem) has a great sense of humor. He’s been doing that type of thing his whole career. It’s one of the things that makes him great. I laughed when I heard it and told him he was crazy. I definitely don’t think anyone should take it as an insult.” (Billboard)
Royce and Em’s record emerged across the Internet a couple weeks ago.
Eminem has never shied away from sharing his personal opinions about contemporary pop stars, from bitching about Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera back in the days of “The Real Slim Shady” to informing Nicki Minaj of his desire to have anal sex with her in “Fast Lane” earlier this year. The chance to comment on his peers often inspires some of Em’s best, most impassioned spitting, but not so much on recent Bad Meets Evil leak “A Kiss,” where he revives some old rumors about the world’s biggest pop star: “Tell Lady Gaga she can quit her job at the post office / She’s still a male lady.” (Pop Dust)
Last September, rap star 50 Cent also questioned the singer’s genital area.
“Gotta love it Lady gaga had a steak on her head last night. But if I call her meat head her fans will get mad at me,” he tweetedMonday (September 13) evening.
