Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s 2018 campaign has officially begun. The hip-hop veteran is headlining this spring’s Governors Ball music festival.
Along with Em, hip-hop heavyweights from Travis Scott to 2 Chainz are going to invade the three-day event.
In addition to the Governors Ball, Em leads the upcoming Coachella music festival in California.
A couple weeks ago, speculation developed about Em and a few notable superstars like Beyoncé and The Weeknd coming through for this year’s Coachella.
Detroit rap icon Eminem, pop music queen Beyoncé, and R&B crooner The Weeknd are set to headline the 2018 edition of Coachella, industry sources tell Consequence of Sound. America’s preeminent music festival returns for its 19th edition on April 13th-15th and April 20th-22nd at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. An official lineup announcement is expected in early January coinciding with the on sale of tickets. (Consequence of Sound)
Coincidentally, Queen Bey missed out on last year’s festival after announcing a headline-generating pregnancy.
For Queen Bey, performing at the 2018 Coachella would be keeping her promise. She was pregnant last year, so she couldn’t take the stage at the typically star-studded festival. For Slim Shady, it means performing in front of his biggest audience in years. Headlining the 2018 Coachella would also give Weeknd another chance to deliver an epic performance of his fantastic Starboy album. Of course, none of this has been confirmed yet. (XXL Mag)
