Details of Em’s latest business venture deal landed online Monday (January 31) morning.

Eminem has struck a deal for a $1 million-plus Super Bowl spot to appear as a Claymation character in a Lipton Brisk iced-tea commercial. The ad, described by an insider as “very funny,” will give viewers a glimpse into a day in the life of the “8 Mile” star. The rap superstar has been preceded by Ozzy Osbourne and “Machete” star Danny Trejo, who are featured in the recently revived Brisk Claymation ads. Frank Sinatra was one of the first high-profile artists featured in the spots before they were pulled in the late ’90s. Eminem celebrated his comeback from drugs, alcohol and depression in his most recent hit album, “Recovery.” He says he now aims for substance over shock tone. Although he was once an artist most advertisers would have avoided, the Super Bowl commercial might be part of a 12-step plan back into the business. (New York Post)

Em has remained active as of late, appearing in television shows and doing voice-overs.

Eminem has rarely endorsed products in the past, save for a notable iPod ad campaign back in 2005. He’s no stranger to lending his voice to animation, having been heard on Comedy Central’s “Crank Yankers” and a 50 Cent video game. The Lipton ads come during a continued period of resurgence for Eminem as well as more prominent appearances for the once-reclusive rapper. Earlier, he made a cameo appearance in the HBO show “Entourage” (but you’ll never see him on “Glee,” though) and is in talks to star and produce a new film. (M Live)

He is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming Hollywood project.

The rapper plans to star in a crime thriller, Random Acts of Violence, for 20th Century Fox, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The project has been in development at Fox for more than four years, and the script reportedly has gone through multiple drafts, with the most recent version said to center on an ex-con just released from prison who is trying to stay on the right side of the law despite pressure from his former comrades. At the same time, the FBI is trying to recruit him to bring down the syndicate. Writer-director David Von Ancken (Showtime’s Californication), who previously took a pass at the script, is in line to direct. (Hollywood Reporter)

Last month, Em was rumored to appear in an upcoming boxing film entitled, Southpaw.

Rapper Eminem is set to return to the big screen playing a boxer in a proposed Dreamworks’ production titled ‘Southpaw’. DreamWorks told website The Wrap that the film will be developed as a star vehicle for Eminem, reports the Daily Telegraph. Kurt Sutter, the creator of ‘Sons of Anarchy’, will write the script. Next Sunday’s Super Bowl will pit the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Green Bay Packers.
