Giving Em props for motivating him to work harder, Royce hinted at what Shady Records fans can anticipate from the upcoming EP.

“To me, [Eminem is] one of the greatest rappers ever. So if you’re standing in there with him and watching him create, you can only spit on a certain level in order to even keep up,” Royce said in an interview. “With me, I feel like it’s good for me because I get pushed. It brings more out of me…We went in and did actually 11 records, two of ’em leaked, so we’re gonna use the other nine and that was it. We didn’t go do 15 records and try to pick the best. We didn’t make it an Eminem album so Eminem is under the same pressure of selling what he normally sells. We’re not really thinking about that.” (MTV)

Yesterday, Em and Royce’s “Fast Lane” track leaked online.

The dynamic duo of Detroit emceeing finally kick up some dust in the Shady colesium side by side and rip this Supa Dups and Eminem produced joint off their forthcoming Bad Meets Evil project. “Fast Lane” is the first sample available for this long awaited offering but things are bound to stay sounding just as devious between now and its June release. Details of a new joint EP emerged across the Internet earlier this week.

Royce and Em’s music relationship dates back over a decade.

The pair first worked together in the late 1990s, calling themselves Bad Meets Evil, with Royce da 5’9″ as the “bad” and Eminem as the “evil” half of the duo. One of the songs they recorded in those days, called “Bad Meets Evil,” appeared on Eminem’s major label debut, “The Slim Shady LP.” (Chicago Tribune)

The new EP is slated to drop Tuesday, June 14th.
