‘Lose Yourself’ Joins Exclusive Company
The first single from the 8 Mile soundtrack was “Lose Yourself,” a semi-autobiographical joint that told Eminem’s — well, B-Rabbit’s — story in a few minutes almost better than the movie told it in two hours. The song was a smash hit in 2002, and now almost two decades later it hit the billion-stream milestone on Spotify alongside artists like Ed Sheeran, Drake, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

Westside Gunn Takes A Shot At Eminem
New York rapper Westside Gunn fired a subtle shot at the Em’s Shady Records label earlier this year. Gunn hit up Twitter with a major name-drop targeting Slim Shady. He questioned if the home Marshall built realized his group Griselda had a “Best Group” nomination for the BET Awards.

Royce Da 5’9 is stepping up to make a difference. The Detroit rapper recently took on a new project with fellow Motown great Eminem with the Marshall Mathers Foundation. Royce joined the team as the Director of Community Engagement and Social Justice Initiatives.
