EG went to their socials for the announcement and dropped the album cover, featuring their younger selves with eyes aglow peering through a chain-linked fence.  The announcement proclaimed that there would be no more delays and that the album would be coming on Friday “come hell or high water.”

The Dreamville affiliates just-released “Amen” (ft. Musiq Soulchild) to whet their fans’ appetite as a lead-up to the album drop this Friday.  The duo is also on a world tour in support of the album.

The new single, “Amen,” is carried by the undercurrent of Musiq’s hit single, “Just Friends” – it’s refreshing to hear the melodious voice of Musiq Soulchild back after so many years behind the scenes.

EG’s Olu (aka Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (aka Doctur Dot) released their first EP, The Better Party, back in 2010 before hooking up with J. Cole.  They then went on to release their fan acclaimed Rags, Robots, Royalty, and Mirrorland.

Earth Gang has been mentored by J.Cole, who recently declared himself the G.O.A.T of the rap game.  The North Carolina rapper sent tongues wagging with his featured verse on Benny Butcher’s new song Johnny P’s Caddy.

J. Cole also recently announced that he will be headlining at Governors Ball 2022.  Kid Cudi, Halsey, and J. Cole are coming to the ball in NYC in this summer’s lineup. Other artists in the star-studded roster include Jack Harlow, Black Pumas, Roddy Ricch, Flume, Glass Animals, Playboi Carti, and more.
