R&B singer The-Dream has shared his thoughts on rap star Kanye West‘s visit to see Donald Trump. In his opinion, music mogul Jay Z should be next in line to speak to the president-elect.
In Dream’s opinion, all celebrities have a duty to go and meet Trump to discuss the state of the nation.
“Everybody should. Jay Z should go next. Everybody should so you can come back and report to us and let us know what’s going on. We need briefings, too. Eventually, ‘Ye is going to tell — whatever that is. And we know ‘Ye is blacker than black. You cannot not go and see him. You can’t. It’s the same thing when the police shootings happened. I asked Jay to meet with every police chief that he could, because that’s the only way. Being a leader means you still have to shake that person’s hand.” (Billboard)
This week, G.O.O.D. Music’s John Legend revealed his disappointment in learning of Ye’s Trump visit.
“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump. I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country and I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.” (“Clique”)

This week, rap star YG showed off his disgust toward Ye for meeting President-elect Donald Trump.
