OVO Sound‘s Drake is relying on his upcoming Please Forgive Me short film to spark more Views album sales.
According to new reports, Drizzy’s mysterious film will feature multiple Views visuals.
The film’s expected to help gin up interest in his latest album, “Views,” which dominated the charts at No. 1 all summer but was recently bumped off by the “Suicide Squad” soundtrack. Drake’s “Views” came out in April but has generated just one music video. The film project is rumored to include music from “Views,” including the songs “One Dance” and “Child’s Play,” as well as an original soundtrack by producer and frequent Drake collaborator Noah “40” Shebib. Earlier this week, Drake revealed a September release date for Please Forgive Me.
The Toronto rapper went to Instagram in mid-August to announce his film plans.
Recently, director Spiff TV talked to SOHH about Drake’s upcoming “Child’s Play” music video.
“The “Child’s Play” music video is going to be legend. Just remember that. Legendary. Legend,” Spiff told SOHH. “This was one of the longest videos I’ve ever shot. We shot it at a lot of locations and at a lot of different cities. Just legend. Remember that.” (SOHH)
