OVO Sound producer Noah “40” Shebib has come forward to put a swift end to rumors about Young Money’s Drake solely relying on other musicians to pen his lyrics.

40 went on an epic Twitter tirade Wednesday (July 22) night to speak out.

40’s remarks come after radio personality Funkmaster Flex released an alleged reference track with Drizzy’s alleged ghostwriter.

The song is “10 Bands” … and Quentin Miller’s version is damn near identical to Drake’s. Funkmaster Flex first played it late Wednesday on NYC’s Hot 97 … throwing gasoline on the fire Meek started by accusing Drake of not writing his own raps — a HUGE insult in hip hop. Meek and a few other rappers are claiming Drake used Quentin’s take as a reference to record his final version. For what it’s worth … Miller does have credits on several Drake tracks, including “10 Bands.” (TMZ)

Meek alerted Instagram followers his comments were all genuine on Instagram Wednesday (July 22).

NBA’s Brandon Jennings rallied behind Drake but denied dissing Meek in his pro-Drizzy Twitter remarks this week.

  1. I wonder if all these people who want to know so bad know that there is a simple thing called copyright law that breaks down who wrote what in a song, so it’s pretty simple stuff to find out if you like. One thing I do know though is that ghostwriters don’t get liner notes. They just show up in the copyright registration of the song, thus why they are called ghostwriters. Hey, but I guess that’s too tough to go dig up since throwing around accusations is much more fun.

  2. not the biggest drake fan but he makes good music. if i found out he only wrote 75 percent of all his verses i would still consider him a good artist so long as he still writes the majority of his music…

  3. …now if one day he got writers block & completely stopped writing his own shit, i would then lose respect.
