OVO Sound boss Drake’s past photographer David Leyes and Lupe Fiasco have stepped forward to provide context behind the jaw-dropping blackface pic Pusha-T used for his new “The Story of Adidon” diss record artwork.

Screenshots have surfaced of both Leyes and Fiasco providing the truth behind Drizzy’s pic.

The photos seem to have been shot sometime in 2008, before Drake’s stardom, in association with the Toronto-based brand Too Black Guys. In the shoot, Drake is seen wearing “Jim Crow Couture” from the label’s 2008 lookbook. Some fans have pointed out that Pusha intentionally used only one image to put a negative spin and earn some extra points in the beef, while other fans are deeply offended by the image. Leyes, who originally shot the photos, however seems to be siding with Drake at the moment. (Hip Hop N More)

The new diss record has already sparked strong co-signs from New York natives Funk Flex and Mysonne.

On Pusha-T’s new record, he goes full-throttle on Drizzy by referencing his dad Dennis Graham leaving him, his mother Sandy not experiencing marriage and past claims of former adult star Sophie Brussaux secretly being his baby mother.

“You mention wedding ring like it’s a bad thing/You father walked away at five, hell of a dad thing/Marriage is something Sandy never had, how you a winner but she keep coming in last place … Confused, always felt you weren’t black enough/Afraid to grow it because your fro wouldn’t nap enough/Since you name-drop my fiancée/Let ’em know who you chose as your Beyoncé/Sophie Knows Better, ask your baby mother/Cleaned her up for IG but the stench is on her/Baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap, talking character/Let me keep with the facts/You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/Deadbeat motherf*cker playing border control/Adiddon is your son and he deserves more than an Adidas press run/That’s real/Love that baby, respect that girl/Forget she’s a porn star, let her be your girl/Yuck/How dare you put Ye in my verses/I’m selfish, I want all of the curses/I’m pre-booking the churches…” (“The Story of Adidon”)

This week, Pusha-T acknowledged being prepared for an all-out summer war amid his feud with the 6 God.

“I’m ready for everything that comes with it. Everything. And we gonna deal in truths. If that’s what we gonna do, and that’s what we really, really, wanna deal in, let’s deal in real truths. Because, I feel like I was questioned. My truth was questioned, and I’m gonna deal in truths all summer long. If everybody wanna deal in that, then I have no problem with that, I think it’s great. Think the world needs truth.” (Vulture)
