OVO Sound‘s Drake is winning big these days. The hip-hop superstar has snagged 12 nominations for the upcoming Soul Train Awards.

According to reports, Drizzy leads the pack followed by R&B icon Beyoncé.

Beyoncé follows Drake with eight nominations, while Rihanna, Kanye West, Adele, Chance the Rapper, Bryson Tiller and Anderson.Paak will compete for multiple awards. Erykah Badu will return as host of the show, which is set to tape Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. And Teddy Riley and Brandy will receive special honors. (AP)

This week, Drake blew away his competition with 13 American Music Awards nods.

Drake led the pack with 13 overall nominations and set a new AMA record for most nominations in a single year, surpassing Michael Jackson’s 11 nominations in 1984, according to the AMAs. Rihanna received seven nominations, Adele and Justin Bieber followed with five each, and Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers each received four nominations. (ABC News)

Voting for the annual ceremony is slated to start in mid-November.

Drake will go up against Adele, Beyoncé, Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Underwood and The Weeknd for Artist of the Year; the 10 nominees will be narrowed to five based on the votes received through Monday, November 14 at 8:59 a.m. PT. Voting for Artist of the Year will close on Thursday, November 17 at 8:59 p.m. PT. The winner will be determined by the total votes received throughout the entire voting period. (Billboard)
