In his personal life, Drake is also winning. The Toronto native isn’t too busy to get in plenty of quality time with his 3-year-old son Adonis.

Drake and Adonis’ mother, artist and model Sophie Brussaux, have overcome past drama and by all appearances have figured out a successful co-parenting system. Here’s a look at how Drizzy and Sophie work together.

Sophie Brussaux Is A Working Mom

Everyone knows what Drake does for a living, but less is known about the mother of his child. Sophie Brussaux, 31, is a visual artist. She helped launch ArtsHelp, a non-profit that develops projects and programming for artists to impact social change. Sophie and Drake of course have to balance their busy schedules to co-parent their son.

Drake + Sophie Are Based In Toronto

Co-parenting is much easier when there’s not a lot of travel time between two households. While Drake and Sophie jet all over the world for their respective jobs (and for the occasional lavish vacation), both keep their home bases in Toronto. Drake’s OVO Sound headquarters are in his hometown, where he also owns a multi-million dollar mansion.

Adonis’ Parents Have Strong Support

Any parent can tell you that things are much easier when you have help, whether it’s Grandma and Grandpa, aunts and uncles, reliable friends, or quality nannies and babysitters. Fans who follow Drake and/or Sophie Brussaux have probably noticed that the co-parents aren’t in this alone; Drake’s mother in particular pops up regularly in some of his posts with Adonis.

Drake + Sophie Brussaux Are Getting Along Better

On an episode of “The Shop” with LeBron James, Drake talked about his relationship with Sophie. They never appeared to be an official couple and there was naturally tension during their parenting journey, but the two appear to be in a good place today.

“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman, who, we’ve had our moments. I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible. Now, I’m just really excited to be a great father. No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”
