Young Money rapper Drake continues to put on for his city by opening up his very own Canada restaurant called Fring’s Toronto.
According to reports, Drizzy and celebrity Susur Lee teamed up for the new fancy hot spot.
There are several key players behind the new space: Susur Lee, his sons Kai and Levi Bent-Lee (who together co-run Bent on Dundas West) and, if the tags on Drake’s Vine are to be believed, OVO associate Angelo Ferraro. I wanted to ask Drake why the place was called Fring’s (The forbidden love between rings and French fries? The forbidden love between Drake and Rihanna??) but he was too busy hanging out with Serena Williams, Jaden Smith, and Jaden Smith’s mom, and bringing trays full of sliders and fries from the kitchen to share back in the VIP. Drizzy posted up pictures from Fring’s onto Instagram Tuesday (September 22).
Drake hinted at his new food venture via social media a few days ago.
Last week, Drake alluded to a new Lee venture on Instagram, saying he was “so excited for the opening of Fring’s in Toronto!” Lee also posted an image of himself with Drake’s “Hotline Bling” — which he released alongside “Charged up” in July — graphic in the background. (CBC)
