Young Money's Drake is embracing the new year and has reminded fans Lil Wayne's long-awaited Carter V solo album is still alive.
While brief and strictly to the point, Drizzy referenced the mysterious LP on Twitter Monday (February 10).

Last fall, a Cash Money Records executive shared a few words about the LP’s existence.
Now that Lil Wayne has scrapped his plans of retiring anytime soon, he’s readying new music in the form of fifth installment of Tha Carter album series. Earlier today, Mel Smith who is Senior VP of Promotions at Cash Money Records revealed that the first offering from Weezy’s forthcoming LP is “coming soon”. “Happy Friday!! New YMCMB music coming soon!! Carter 5” (HHNM)
Earlier the same year, the YMCMB leader revealed his retirement infatuation largely rested on family time.
“Whatever they want to do,” he said about his plans to spend time with them when he hangs up the mic. “I don’t want to have no influence … ‘Hey you must do this, you must do that.’ Because I didn’t have that and because I didn’t have that I grew up to be exactly what I wanted to be and how I wanted to be. I want that for all of my kids … I know I’ll be ready to retire at 35 because I am so ready to retire now!” (MTV)
Over summer 2013, Weezy F. Baby said he saw himself hanging up the microphone after Carter V dropped.
“Yes, very true,” Wayne said when asked if his retirement plans are still on deck. “I want to retire after Tha Carter V which I hope will be my last album. My next album’s not Tha Carter V because I think I have to work on other albums as well with my pop, Birdman, and things like that. But after Tha Carter V, I hope I can retire.
