OVO Sound boss Drake and Nicki Minaj have social media coming up with some crazy theories. The Young Money labelmates reportedly no longer follow each other on digital giant Instagram.
According to reports, the duo aren’t keeping up with each other’s IG timelines despite having a close-knit bond and long history together.
Some media outlets have speculated the possible fallout might have connections to Nicki’s ex-boyfriend Meek Mill and her rap rival Cardi B.
People are also speculating that the potential Nicki Drake drama could be linked to Cardi B featuring on Meek’s new album. It’s no secret that Cardi and Nicki have their own beef and Nicki may be upset that Drake is now aligning himself with Cardi. Also Nicki just worked with Kanye West in spite of the fact that Kanye told people about Drake’s son before Drake publicly revealed that he is a father. (PopBuzz)
Earlier this year, Nicki compared her relationship with the 6 God to an old married couple.
Speaking to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Nicki revealed that she regularly finds that ‘Drake is always mad at me over something’. ‘He always finds a reason to not be my friend anymore. We’re like an old married couple!’ she said. ‘I’m like: “No, you know I love you! I love you! I love you! You know, then why did you say you hate me?” Like, it’s so stupid!’ (Metro)
A couple years ago, Drake admitted he loved Nicki despite them having a distanced relationship.
