Young Money rapper Drake's recently released If You're Reading This It's Too Late retail release has officially hit platinum status.

According to reports, the surprise mixtape release has sold over one million copies.

As noted by ThisIsWalder, the album was released digitally on February 13, and since then, has sold 1,011,041 copies, the equivalent to the number of streams. According to the Sales Plus Streaming system, IYRTITL sold 535,000 copies its first week. (Music Times)

According to reports, a physical version of the LP will come with additional music next month.

Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is getting a physical release on 4/21. The CD will include two bonus tracks, “How About Now” and “My Side.” As a digital-only release, the YMCMB/Republic album has sold 774k to date, including 495k in its first week, making it the top-selling debut of the year so far. Recently, rap star 50 Cent talked about Drake’s new If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late retail project.

“His mixtape reflects that,” 50 said last night about Drake being a fan. “But boy, that nigga was on point, wasn’t he? He came through there with his shit sharp. It was tight. … Look, I don’t have favorite artists, I have favorite moments from artists. Like, ‘Ooh, you ain’t gonna beat him at that, not that, that’s what he do,’ you know what I’m saying? All of us have those moments, I think, but not everybody can appreciate it.” (XXL Mag)

Drake hopped onto his Instagram page to react to the project’s first-week numbers a few weeks ago.
