This week, Drake’s “God’s Son” single has remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Drake’s “God’s Plan” tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a seventh week (dating to its debut at No. 1). As the song sports 81.8 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music, it has now logged seven of the top 10 streaming weeks ever. (Billboard)
A few days ago, Drake announced plans to put together a Toronto-inspired album at a Raptors game.
“I want to thank everybody from the city for coming out tonight. I want you to make some noise for the number one team in the East. The greatest team in the land. If you noticed on the back of your chairs tonight, there was a t-shirt that was specially made for you with all th Toronto teams. You know Toronto is the greatest city in the world so I wanted to bring everybody together and give everybody an opportunity to represent for everything that we’re proud of. I love each and every one of you and I’m proud to be home. I’m working on this new album for the city and tonight, yeah, that’s right, and by the looks of this [Houston Rockets] win streak is over.”

According to recent coverage, Drake’s made serious bank off his latest music releases.
Drizzy’s been giving it away, but not as fast as it keeps coming in, to the tune of another $320k from “God’s Plan” and $235k from Blocboy JB’s “Look Alive,” debuting on the Song Revenue Chart at #$2, on which he’s featured. Oh, and he also owns the label, OVO Sound. It’s good to be king. (HITS Daily Double)
