OVO Sound boss Drake is bigger than just a Top 10 list. The 6 God has nearly 30 hit records on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 list.
Drake’s hits go from “Nice For What” topping the Hot 100 to his “March 14” holding down the 57th spot.
#Drake tops this weeks Hot 100 as Nice For What returns to #1 for the fourth time giving it its eight at this position. In addition, Drake has a total of 27 songs on this weeks chart with 25 of them being from #SCORPION and 7 of them being in the top 10. He passes Taylor Swift for most Hot 100 Top 10 debuts (16). SCORPION is the first album this century with 7 Top 10 hits. He passes Michael Jackson for most top 10 hits among male soloist with a total of 31. Drake also passes The Beatles for most songs simultaneously in the top 10 with a current total of 7. The Beatles previously held this record since 1964 where they had 5 Top 10 hits simultaneously. // It’s easy to see, the LEGEND jumped out. 🦂
This week, buzz developed about the 6 God possibly gearing up for a new record deal.
Word is that Drake is at the end of his contractual obligations to the Young Money/Cash Money label — “Soon as this album drop I’m out of the deal,” he raps on the song “Is There More” — which is distributed through Universal Music Group’s Republic Records. And a well-placed source tells Variety that when Drake signs his next deal, he’ll have another release ready to drop to accompany the news — although a Universal source reveals that the artist is not leaving the label family any time soon.
