Drake Flips His Billboard Hot 100 Defeat Into A Very Necessary Life Goal: “I Need 500” [Video]

OVO Sound boss Drake is used to more wins than losses these days but the 6 God came clean on having a historic Billboard Hot 100 streak come to an end.

Approached by paparazzi, Drizzy said he would challenge himself to go on another epic chart streak.

Late last night, TMZ pulled up on Drake as he exited TAO restaurant in Los Angeles. The paparazzo chased him down and asked “431 weeks Drake, man. How does it feel bro?” to which Drake hit him with “I need 500” before hopping into the back of a vehicle. (HNHH)

A few days ago, buzz developed about Drake’s epic run suddenly ending.

Drake is absent from the Billboard Hot 100 for the very first time since his debut hit, “Best I Ever Had,” debuted on the chart in 2009, ending an unprecedented run of 431 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100. On the latest Hot 100 (dated Aug. 26), the superstar’s two tracks from the previous week’s tally depart: “Passionfruit” falls from No. 81 and “Signs” disappears from No. 100. (Billboard)

At last week’s OVO Fest, Drake promised to bless fans with a joint The Weeknd album at his annual OVO Fest concert.

“I want you to understand what this is. First of all, I don’t want to do this to you on stage, but I feel like that OVOXO project has to happen at some point. I just want to say that.”

At the same event, the 6 God also updated fans on the status of putting out another LP.

The ‘One Dance’ rapper headlined his OVO music festival in his hometown of Toronto, Canada on Monday night (07.08.17) where he told the audience he’s set to return to the studio to prepare his follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Views’.
