Drake fans received the disappointing news that the Toronto rapper tested positive for COVID-19 just hours before his “Young Money Reunion” show. There are now concerns that the rapper could be in the center of a COVID superspreader event.
On Instagram, Drake revealed that he tested positive for COVID ahead of his Young Money Reunion show in Toronto.
The show was expected to feature Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
Furthermore, the reunion show was set to take place tonight in Toronto to cap off “October World Weekend” – a series of events hosted by Drake.
“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion Show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the soonest date possible” Drake said.
“I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked,” he added.
Many Young Money fans took to their social media accounts to express their disappointment. One Twitter user said:
“I was ready to get off and watch the Young Money reunion ughh”
Another user ranted:
“went to sleep excited for young money reunion clips and this the thanks that i get?”
