I actually had this idea in my head. What inspired me to do this song right here was actually the Eminem song, “Rap God.” That’s actually one of my favorite songs right now.
I feel as though that boy lost his everlasting mind on that joint. It’s sad to say but that’s really the only inspiration I had at that moment when I was thinking of this “NRG” song.
I’m not going to fake, I was like, “D*mn, homie went in!” This is a new day for me, this is a whole new demographic. This is a whole new fan base. It’s just new times out there.
I wanted to treat myself as a brand new artist. That Eminem song inspired me to do that song right there because I wanted to give off that feel or try to give off that feel he gave off on “Rap God.”
