Apple Music teamed up with hip-hop stars Pharrell Williams and Eminem for its launch.

The launch of Apple Music on June 30 will be marked by an exclusive Pharrell Williams single and an interview with Eminem on Beats 1 radio. In response to Tidal and the exclusive content it offers customers, Apple has announced that the Pharrell Williams single, Freedom, will only be available through the Apple Music streaming service. 1. Congrats to the home girl Wyann for getting her shine on. They need more than a hour tho

  2. People can hate on Tidal but if it falls it’s still a success. It’s just like the USFL. NFL players weren’t getting million dollar contracts until the USFL gave one to Hersccel Walker. That’s the effect Tidal is having. Taylor Swift just benefited because Tidal exists. Drake is going to benefit because Tidal exists.

  3. Why is it a Dr Dre vs JayZ thing rather than just an Apple vs Tidal thing. They arent the sole owners of either or even the majority owner of neither one of those companies.

The Microsoft vs Apple competition wasnt even called Bill Gates vs Steve Jobs as much as this is.

    • EXACTLY…..but isnt Jay Z more of an owner than Dre? Dre is an Apple employee now basically since the purchase? other than that you hit the nail on the head!

  4. Can someone explain to me the logic behind these business models? I think I’m missing something. What exactly on the internet is “exclusive”? The Weezy album came out today on Tidal first, but now you can get it from other places. Music can come out first on a certain service, but it doesn’t just stay there. These guys are all richer than me, so who am I to be a smart ass, I just don’t understand it.
