Fox’s hit “Empire” television show reportedly suffered a big hit Thanksgiving Eve (November 25) with series low ratings.

According to reports, “Empire” brought in 9.1 million viewers this week.

While these numbers don’t seem especially tragic, this proved to be up to 30% lower than the previous week’s episode. Despite boasting a guest appearance by Rosie O’Donnell as a figure from Cookie’s prison past, it seems that the big travel day (as well as busiest bar night of the year) skewered the normally glorious ratings of Empire. Earlier this month, “Power” star 50 Cent reacted to his show’s rival suffering season-low ratings.

According to reports, “Empire” brought in just over 11 million viewers a couple weeks ago.

The Fox drama, still handily the No. 1 show of the night, dropped four-tenths of a point in the key demo to a season-low 4.2 rating among adults 18-49. Empire’s overall audience was less humbled, relatively steady with 11.2 million viewers. (The Hollywood Reporter)

50 also poked fun at “Empire” slipping in ratings last month.

  1. The whole LGTB whipping every week is wearing the overall story out. The family feud between Luscious Lion and his boys and former wife Cookie is tired. The plots are getting more corney as the weeks go by.They need a new villian and stop overusing sexuality.

  2. Ratings are down because the show sucks. Nothing but a cheap commercialized product.
